His original design was smaller and younger, with black eyes before green, and he didn't speak at all in most of his appearances, unlike in the comics and TV shows. His classic form (Classic Sonic) was given the name from the modern version of Sonic since his first games in the 90s era, up until Sonic Adventure which was released on the Sega Dreamcast in 1998. He is a blue anthropomorphic hedgehog with cool spikes, and his abilities are running at lightning fast speed of sound with quick reflexes, and curling up into a ball to attack enemies made by his arch-nemesis Dr.
